What are the lubrication methods for air compressors?
What kind of lubrication methods are there for air compressors? This article mainly gives an overview of the oil level of the air compressors, and then gives an overview of the kinds of lubrication methods, hoping to give you some help.
Air compressor oil level overview:
In the running state, the oil level of the compressor should be kept between the minimum and maximum oil levels. Too much oil will affect the separation effect, and too little oil will affect the lubrication and cooling performance of the machine. During the oil change cycle, if the oil level is lower than the minimum oil level oil level, the lubricating oil should be replenished in time by:
① When the internal pressure is released after shutdown (confirm that there is no pressure in the system), pull down the main power switch.
②Open the oil filling port on the oil and gas separation tank and add an appropriate amount of cooling lubricating oil.
③ Refer to the regular maintenance table for the oil change time after the normal operation of the air compressor.
Air compressor lubrication method:
1. Pressure lubricating method - using machinery (such as oil pump, oil injector) to automatically lubricate the lubricating oil parts by pressure, also called the pressure lubricating method. This method is used in large and medium-sized compressors with crossheads.
2. Splash lubrication method - the oil is thrown off and splashed by the oil rod mounted on the connecting rod to each lubricating part for lubrication, so the cylinder and the moving mechanism can only use the same kind of lubricating oil. This method is mostly used in small compressors without crossheads. The disadvantage is that the oil is not well filtered, and the oil level must be strictly controlled.
3. Injection lubrication method - the injected oil mist follows the gas into the cylinder and other lubrication points, such as ultra-high pressure compressors, vane compressors and screw compressors all use oil injection lubrication.
