Question:

Why are batteries not required.. sparmax website says it comes with a cord but description says battery powered. Does it come with a cord or not

Answer:

The unit comes with an electrical adapter, kind of like a laptop computer's. The unit can be run on a battery pack, but that does not come with it, and I have never even seen a battery pack for it. I use mine plugged in.
