1.Question: Do these have a round shaft and if yes what size diameter are they?

Answer: The shaft is flat, not sure the aprox. diameter but they are small enough to fit into any container worth putting anything into.

2.Question: Can these be used to stir nail polish ?

Answer: I do not see why not. Just clean them with nail polish remover if it dries on the stirrer.

3.Question: What are they made of? Metal?

Answer: Yes, and they are very nice. Not sure what kind of metal, but I have used with water base paints and didn't rust. Fully recommended.
